ITA 196: Image and Text in Medieval and Renaissance Italian literature
The course will explore various aspect of the interaction between literature and the visual arts in Italy from the Middle Ages to the end of the Renaissance. The focus will be on the intersection between the literary and visual modes of perception in the works of representative Italian authors from the Fourteenth to the Sixteenth Centuries. Restricted to newly-admitted first-year students.
